1. Is there food?
We do not serve food, however, delivered food is allowed. Nothing pre-made allowed.
2. How do I buy tickets?
There are several ways to Buy Tickets for upcoming shows at The Intersection; www.sectionlive.com; by visiting The Intersection Box office, hours are Monday-Friday. 12pm – 6pm; by phone – (616)-723-8571; or by visiting Vertigo Music.

4. I’m worried the show will sell out; can you reserve me a ticket now and I’ll pay for it later?
Our ticketing system is set up to allow advance purchase of tickets at our box office. You may purchase tickets online or by phone with an additional surcharge. We are unable to “hold” tickets unless you purchase them first and leave them at will-call.
5. I’m supposed to be on the guest list…
If you are supposed to be on a guest list, be sure you know the name of the person who has put you on the list. It is also a good idea to confirm with that person that you are on the list 24 hours before the show. Valid ID is always required at The Intersection, and it is essential when you are picking up tickets at Will-Call or from the Guest list. We are not responsible for mistakes made by band members, radio stations, or other promotional groups, although we will follow up on guest list questions to the best of our ability. The guest list is almost always at the box office window at doors.
6. I am buying a ticket to your show from someone else, how do I know that they did not just Xerox the print at home ticket?
You do not. Do not purchase print at home tickets from someone you do not know. ALL tickets are scanned at the door and a photocopied ticket will not gain you admittance to the venue. Buyer Beware! Each barcode will only scan once – once it’s been scanned by our door guys, it won’t work again, so be careful!
7. I finally broke up with my lame boyfriend. Can I get a refund for his ticket?
We can’t refund tickets unless a show is cancelled.
8. How can I be guaranteed tickets for a big show?
We cannot gaurantee anything in this business. We suggest you purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale.
9.Do you provide seating?
We have limited seating available on a first come first serve basis. We Only sell VIP sections for certain shows.
10. Can I go in and out?
No, The Intersection has a no re-entry policy. You may use the designated smoking area outside if needed.
11. What kind of ID do I need to drink at The Intersection?
Driver’s License, State ID, Military ID, or a passport.
12. Why do I need ID? I’m not going to drink.
Many shows at The Intersection are 16 and up, so you must have an ID to prove you are at least 16, but the advertised ages will apply to each show. Some of our other shows are All Ages, in which case you will not need your ID to get into the show.
13. What does all ages mean?
Most of our shows are all ages, unless stated otherwise. This means all age groups are welcome to attend the show.
14. When will the show end?
The end of a set is at the discretion of the performing act (although we contract them for a minimum set length – anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the act). This is a question we usually cannot answer.
15. Where is your parking lot?
We do not provide parking. There are plenty of lots, meters, and ramps all over the beautiful city of Grand Rapids. Our lot is reserved for employees and bands ONLY.
16. Do you have a dress code?
Some shows we reserve the right to post a dress code for the safety of our employees and guests. If there is a dress code, it will typically be posted on the website and at the door.
17. Do you have a coat check?
Yes, only during the cold season!
18. Where can I get some cigarettes?
There is a convenience store behind the club on Monroe and Cherry, but remember, there is no smoking inside the club.
19. Where can we smoke?
Smoking is not permitted at all inside The Intersection. We now have a smoking area out front or out the side during shows.
20. Will you call me a taxi?
Absolutely! Ask any of the staff members, and we will make it our first priority. Cab service in Grand Rapids is reliable and steady, but a little slower than in larger cities, so be patient.
21. Do you have a bar inside?
Yes, we have 4 seperate bars throughout the building.
22. I got wasted and left without paying my tab, how do I get my ID and credit card back?
Stop into the club between 2pm and 6pm Monday through Friday and we will help you. WE CANNOT RELEASE CREDIT CARDS AND/OR ID’S TO ANYONE BUT THE PERSON WHO THEY BELONG TO. No exceptions.
23. I am in a wheelchair or have special needs? Can you accommodate?
We always do everything we can to make sure that every guest we have is comfortable. Our building is ADA compliant.
24. What is your photo policy?
Our policy is that you are allowed to bring in cameras. However, that may differ from the bands policy and the bands policy wins. Almost every band is ok with small digital cameras or point and shoots. Almost no band is ok with professional grade photographers without prior approval. Call the box office the day of show (usually late in the day) and we should know the band’s official photo policy.
